These past few weeks have been challenging for us all, with concerns of public health and safety eclipsing everything else. As CEO, my first concern is always for our people who help Actifio deliver world class solutions to you. My next concern is making sure that we are here for you in your time of crisis, to offer support in any form to keep your data operations flowing.
I’d like to provide a brief overview of the steps we’ve taken as a company to ensure the continuity of our business in the face of this unprecedented new reality. Then, I’d like to share with you a program that we are making available today so you may ensure the continuity of your data operations.
As a company born during the Financial Crisis of 2008, we understand very well that the foundation for our internal processes and systems needed to be resilient in the face of unprecedented disruption. Those solid internal practices have positioned us well. All of our critical IT services are hosted by major SaaS vendors including SalesForce.com, SAP/Concur, and Zoom. Our internal infrastructure, that is primarily used for development, test, and QA, was designed with redundancy and emergency capacity in mind. We use our own software to ensure the resiliency and availability of data on-premises and across clouds.
Two weeks ago, I made the decision to cancel all travel, with only franchise-critical exceptions. I also implemented a work-from-home (WFH) policy for all of our employees in Waltham, Santa Clara, Hyderabad, UK, Melbourne, Sydney, and Tokyo. I’m happy to report that we've accommodated the WFH with minimal issues.
Today, with widespread shelter-in-place orders now suddenly impacting millions of people we are now taking the next step to prepare for a reality where we may not be able to access our own data centers for a prolonged period. We are ensuring operating power redundancy as well as remote out-of-band management. We are adding additional remote monitoring, surveillance, management capabilities where absolutely necessary to ensure that we can continue to keep our infrastructure, and our business, functioning if we lose the ability to be on-site.
As you know, the global situation is fluid and we are monitoring daily. Our executive team is in constant communication and has a standing weekly checkpoint on the status of our employees, our customers, and our operations. We remain confident in our ability to weather this storm and continue to provide you with the support you’ve come to expect from Actifio.
